Hi Mike: Thanks for the invite to join the HSC blog.....this i my first entry to blogging.....kind of cool! I made it through the registration process and look forward to checking out what other people are saying about HSC and its environs - and posting some musings of my own. For starters, I am a regular visiter to HSC and the guest house having been introduced to Haiti by Drs. Gretchen Berggren and David McNeeley at the turn of the century. After many trips with Mitch Mutter, Berggren, et al. i find myself in the midst of managing a 100 well (community water) rehabilitation project through a joint venture between Living Water Interantional and Children's Nutrition Program of Haiti. As the unofficial provider of communication for our network I have looked for some way to expand the information we provide on the HSCeNews web site. After dabbling with a blog on other web sites I decided that perhaps this was the route we should take. So I have created this blog. My intent is to provide an avenue for others in the network to publish information, news from Haiti, news from a trip, and opinions for the benefit of the group.

To do this you will have to be recognized as a contributor to the blog. That is I will have to invite you join the blog. I will begin by inviting some of the more active members of the group. If you are not among that group don't feel slighted. One of the benefits of a Yahoo! discussion group is that it is very open by nature. While I, and others, moderate it on a limited scale; we don't really get an opportunity to know who you are. To that end I will exercise a greater level of control over who can contribute to the blog and responses to those messages.

Again, remember that our intent is to build up the community that supports the Hopital Sainte Croix and it's affiliated programs. Let us hear from you.
